ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR TASK: 3D MODELING
Task Description
Select any traditional Brunei food and create a 3D model character of it with eyes and mouth holding a Mr. Brown can that has the Brunei version design in Adobe Illustrator.
Final Design
The chosen traditional Brunei food is 'Jelurut'. It is a Bruneian traditional kueh made of rice flour with coconut milk, pandan and coconut sugar wrapped with young coconut leaf in a cone shape. It is a popular traditional sweet snack that can be found commonly in Brunei.
Design Process
Firstly, a simple solid shape of the kueh is created. Then, a more detailed look was given to the kueh with the additional colour gradient that resembles the kueh correctly. For the hands of the character, the coconut leaf was used to resemble its hands. Illustrated eyes and mouth were also included. The character were then inflated using the 3D effect in Adobe Illustrator. The character poses by waving while holding a can of Mr. Brown and surrounded by coffee beans.
